อ้อม จบการศึกษาระดับปริญญาโท ด้านนิเวศวิทยา มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ ปัจจุบันกำลังศึกษาในระดับปริญญาเอก ในช่วงแรกได้เข้ามาเป็นอาสาสมัครช่วยงานหน่วยวิจัยการฟื้นฟูป่า พร้อมกับทำงานวิจัยเกี่ยวกับการฟื้นฟูป่าโดยวิธีการหยอดเมล็ด ต่อมาในเดือนมกราคม ปี 2560 ได้เข้าร่วมทำงานกับทีมหน่วยวิจัยฯ ในตำแหน่งเจ้าหน้าที่วิจัยภาคสนาม รับผิดชอบติดตามงานทดลองในภาคสนาม การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลและทำรายงานการวิจัย นอกจากนี้ยังช่วยสอนในกิจกรรมของโรงเรียนและเป็นผู้จัดการกิจกรรมอาสาสมัครด้วย

สำหรับการศึกษาในระดับปริญญาเอกในขณะนี้ ได้ทำงานวิจัยเกี่ยวข้องกับเมล็ดและการฟื้นฟูป่าโดยวิธีการหยอดเมล็ด รวมทั้งวัสดุที่ใช้ในการห่อหุ้มเมล็ดเพื่อเตรียมสำหรับการฟื้นฟูป่าโดยใช้อากาศยานไร้คนขับ โดยงบประมาณในการวิจัยบางส่วนได้รับการสนับสนุนจากหน่วยวิจัยการฟื้นฟูป่าอีกด้วย
