This user-friendly booklet guides school children through a series of hands-on forest-restoration activities from seed collection and germination to growing trees in nurseries, tree planting, maintenance and monitoring. It is aimed at mid-secondary school students, enabling them to take direct action to mitigate climate change and preserve their future environment. It was originally compiled for our Young Forest Restorers Project , but it can be used to accompany any school activity sessions run by FORRU-CMU staff or by school teachers. The booklet acts like a "passport to restoration", as participants collect "stamps" on action pages, as each task is completed. The skills and knowledge gained are then certified by taking an online quiz at the FOB website (fob.science.cmu.ac.th). The certificate, bearing the CMU logo, is a useful addition to students' portfolios, as they prepare to apply for university.
