Nan graduated from CMU's Social Science Faculty, with a B.Sc. in Geography in 2014 and an M.Sc. in Geography and Geoinformatics in 2020. His master's thesis was titled: “Assessment of Land Surface Temperature of Burnt Areas using Thermal Infrared Bands of LANDSAT 8 imagery in Pua District, Nan Province”. After graduation, he worked as an assistant researcher with Royal Project Foundation & King’s Recommended Project-Support Center (Chiang Mai) and helped the FORRU-CMU field team with mapping restoration plots in Nan Province. He was appointed as FORRU-CMU's full-time Field Research Officer in June 2021. His main duties include collecting and analysing field data, from both ground surveys and aerial surveys by drone and he is responsible for mapping and research on mine rehabilitation.
