Ach. Gwang teaches ecology at CMU Biology Department and is the department's Vice Chair-Person. She also responsible for the graduate program in Environmental Science of faculty of Science. She co-manages FORRU-CMU with Dr. Steve and is mainly responsible for co-ordinating the unit's education, training and outreach activities. For her MSc. in Environmental Risk Assessment, she investigated the effects are irrigation on forest regeneration. Her current research interests include mine rehabilitation and phytoremediation. She supervises several of the unit's research students.
