Every rainy season, the optimal time for tree planting, FORRU normally organizes planting events in collaboration with various organizations and school children. This event is not only for fostering community engagement but also for forest restoration research, conservation, education.
For this year, we are thrilled to announce a remarkable collaboration in planting seedlings, bringing together various sectors, including government agencies, Malaysian volunteers, the Young Forest Restorer school network, and the local community at Ban Pong Yaeng Nork, Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai.
Our joint efforts focused on planting local tree species across 10 Rai of restored land. This initiative aimed to revitalize the area, promote biodiversity, and contribute to the overall health of the ecosystem. By choosing native species, we ensured that the restored forest would be resilient, support local wildlife, and maintain ecological balance.
The event was a true testament to the power of teamwork and community engagement. Government agencies provided essential support and resources, while Malaysian volunteers traveled to join hands with us, sharing their time and dedication. The Young Forest Restorer school network played a crucial role in educating and involving the younger generation, fostering a sense of responsibility and love for nature among students. Meanwhile, the local community's active participation was invaluable, demonstrating their commitment to preserving their natural heritage.
This activity not only enhanced collaboration among diverse groups but also strengthened our collective resolve to conserve our environment. The planting event served as a platform for exchanging knowledge, building relationships, and setting a precedent for future conservation efforts.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved. Your incredible support and hard work made this event a resounding success. We deeply appreciate your contributions and look forward to continuing our efforts to protect and restore our precious natural resources.
Thank you for being a part of this journey towards a greener, healthier planet!
