MaxJ. F. MaxwellThis is the obituary and life story of J. F. Maxwell "Acharn Max", a talented botanist who established the herbarium in CMU Biology Department in 1992 and continued to curate it until his death in 2015. Max was instrumental in helping to establish FORRU-CMU, by identifying the many hundreds of tree species that grow in the forests on Doi Suthep, and by curating an herbarium where voucher specimens could be lodged, not only of tree foliage and fruits, but also of tree seedlings, which often have very different morphological features compared with mature trees.
